What is the difference between accreditation and certification?

Accreditation is institutional: it recognises that a school, university or organisation's programme meets international standards for competency development. Certification is individual: it recognises that a specific person has reached a defined level of competency. Both coexist — an accredited institution can also individually certify its students, graduates or employees.

Which international frameworks does EASEC align with?

ESCO, EQF, Tuning, WEF Future of Jobs 2025 and UNESCO education recommendations. The alignment is documented — each accredited institution receives an official alignment report that can be presented to evaluation bodies, universities, employers and educational authorities.

Yes. EASEC operates in more than 60 countries with active presence in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Europass Digital credentials are formally recognised across all EU member states and accepted as evidence of competencies in multiple regions. The Open Badge 3.0 format is a global interoperable standard.

How is an EASEC credential verified?

At cert.easec.eu/certificates/verify. Verification is instant and requires no account, no contact with EASEC and no contact with the issuing institution. Credentials are cryptographically signed under eIDAS, which guarantees their authenticity and integrity independently.

In which languages is EASEC available?

Accepted Answer

Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, German, Italian and Catalan. Assessment instruments, individual reports and institutional reports are all generated in the language selected by the institution or participant.

EASEC serves three institutional contexts: secondary schools (for students aged 12–18), universities and higher education institutions, and organisations and companies.
