Cookies Policy

EASEC·EU
Cookie Policy Last updated: June 2026 · Applies to www.easec.eu and all EASEC subdomains

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website owners about how their site is used.

In addition to traditional cookies, EASEC may use similar tracking technologies such as web beacons, pixels, and local storage. All references to "cookies" in this Policy encompass these similar technologies.

This Cookie Policy applies to www.easec.eu and all subdomains operated by EASEC European Accreditation SL, including cert.easec.eu, work.easec.eu, and awards.easec.eu. The internal campus.easec.eu platform is not publicly accessible and does not serve public cookies.

EASEC AI Engine — No Cookies The EASEC AI Engine situational assessment dimension, integrated into EASEC diagnostic and certification assessment instruments, operates exclusively through server-side API calls to AI language model providers (OpenAI and Anthropic). The AI Engine does not set, read, or interact with any browser cookies or client-side tracking technologies. All AI Engine processing occurs server-to-server within EASEC's EEA cloud infrastructure. Participants' open-text responses and AI-generated analyses are not associated with any cookie identifier.

B2C direct purchases made through www.easec.eu use the same cookie infrastructure as institutional access. No additional cookies are set specifically for direct consumer purchases beyond those described in this Policy.

2. Who Sets Cookies on EASEC Platforms

First-party cookies are set directly by EASEC European Accreditation SL for operational and security purposes.

Third-party cookies are set by external service providers integrated into EASEC platforms for analytics, advertising, and functionality purposes. These providers operate under their own privacy policies, and EASEC has entered into data processing agreements with them where required by applicable law.

3. Consent Management

Cookie consent on www.easec.eu is managed through CookieYes, a GDPR-compliant Consent Management Platform (CMP). When you first visit the EASEC website, a consent banner is presented allowing you to accept, reject, or customise cookie categories by type.

Your consent preferences are recorded with a timestamp and stored in your browser for twelve (12) months. You may withdraw or modify your consent at any time by accessing the cookie settings panel from the footer of the website.

Your Consent Choices Only Strictly Necessary cookies are activated without your consent. All other cookie categories — Analytics, Marketing, and Functional — require your explicit consent before being activated. Refusing non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to access EASEC's public information, complete assessments, access your EASEC Wallet, or make B2C direct purchases.

Participants' open-text responses, AI-generated interpretive analyses, response time data, and internal competency indicators are never stored in or transmitted through browser cookies.

6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You have the following options for managing cookies on EASEC platforms:

  • Cookie settings panel — Click the "Cookie Settings" link in the website footer to review and modify your consent choices at any time
  • Browser settings — Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent platform features from working correctly, including assessment access, Wallet login, and payment processing
  • Opt-out tools — You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and manage Meta advertising preferences at facebook.com/ads/preferences

Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Some website features may be limited if certain non-essential cookies are disabled. Refusing non-essential cookies does not affect your ability to complete EASEC assessments, access your EASEC Wallet, view your credentials, or complete B2C purchases.

7. Your Rights

In relation to cookie-related data processing, you may exercise all rights described in EASEC's Privacy Policy, including the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and objection. For cookie-related enquiries, contact info@easec.eu or the DPO at mfernandez@easec.eu.

8. Changes to This Cookie Policy

EASEC may update this Cookie Policy when new third-party services are integrated, when providers change their data practices, or when applicable law changes. Updates will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. Prior versions are available by contacting info@easec.eu.
