Über EASEC

The European Certification Body for Transversale Kompetenzen

Founded in 2010 in the United Kingdom and established in Valencia, Spain since 2025 — EASEC supports institutions and professionals in validating, certifying and recognising soft skills and employability competencies through scientifically grounded methodologies aligned with ESCO, EQF and WEF Future of Jobs 2025.

Our Purpose

Making Competency Evidence Credible, Comparable and Recognised

In an environment where skills development is accelerating but consistent evidence remains fragmented, EASEC exists to close the gap between the competencies people develop and the evidence that makes those competencies visible — to employers, institutions and accreditation bodies worldwide.

Mission

To advance trusted approaches to competency certification — strengthening how transversal skills and employability competencies are assessed, validated and recognised through scientifically grounded methodologies, alignment with European and international standards, and robust certification practices that serve institutions, professionals and learners worldwide.

Vision

To serve as the recognised European reference for transversal competency certification — contributing to transparent skills recognition, stronger education and training systems, and greater confidence in how competencies are validated across labour markets and learning environments globally.

Why we exist

The Problem We Were Built to Solve

"

Talent exists everywhere.
Recognition does not.

01

Employers

Struggle to identify real capabilities behind traditional CVs and formal qualifications — without verifiable, comparable evidence of transversal competencies.

02

Institutions

Cannot demonstrate the real impact of their skills programmes to governments, accreditation bodies and employer partners — without structured, externally validated competency data.

03

Professionals

Develop valuable competencies through education, work and lifelong learning — yet lack the tools to communicate, certify and prove those skills in any labour market, at any stage.

The global conversation about skills certification and employability is growing rapidly. At EASEC, we believe the world needs better systems to recognise and validate human capabilities — systems that are scientifically grounded, internationally comparable and trusted by the institutions and employers that matter.

Our Values

Five Principles That Guide Everything We Do

At EASEC, every decision — methodological, operational or strategic — is anchored in five principles that reflect our commitment to rigour, transparency and human impact in competency certification.

ESCO · EQF · Europass · WEF
Principle 01

International Rigour

We align with ESCO, EQF, Europass and WEF Future of Jobs 2025 to ensure that every certification is grounded in the standards that institutions and employers worldwide recognise and trust.

Every EASEC certification is built on standards that cross borders — not on proprietary frameworks that stay within them.

Recognises and Verifiesy
Principle 02

Transparency and Traceability

Every assessment has clear criteria, verifiable results and certifications that can be independently verified by employers, institutions and accreditation bodies at cert.easec.eu/verify.

If a credential cannot be independently verified, it is not a credential. It is a claim.

100% online · 7 languages
Principle 03

Accessibility and Innovation

Our assessment infrastructure is 100% online, multilingual and designed for global deployment — removing geographic and administrative barriers to competency recognition across education systems and labour markets.

Geography should never be the reason a competency goes unrecognised.

Merit · Objectivity · Equity
Principle 04

Professional Equity

We certify what people genuinely know how to do — beyond formal qualifications or professional titles. EASEC brings merit and objectivity to competency recognition across diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.

A competency is a competency — regardless of where it was developed or what title comes with it.

Human potential · Recognised
Principle 05

Human and Social Impact

Every competency recognised represents an individual's effort, learning and growth. EASEC exists to ensure that human potential is visible, credible and recognised — in any labour market, at any stage of a professional journey.

Behind every certification is a person who invested in themselves. Our role is to make that investment visible.

Who uses EASEC

We Support Trust in Competency Recognition

EASEC is an independent European certification body specialised exclusively in transversal competencies — soft skills, employability skills and cross-sectoral capabilities. Unlike academic accreditation bodies or professional certifications tied to a single discipline, EASEC operates across all sectors and education levels, issuing credentials that are directly comparable to ESCO v1.2.1, EQF levels 1–8 and WEF Future of Jobs 2025 — meaning they are recognisable to employers and institutions globally, not just locally.

The EASEC framework covers 32 validated transversal competencies organised across five domains: Intellectual (critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving), Technical (digital literacy, data management), Work-Related (planning, leadership, adaptability), Interpersonal (communication, teamwork, conflict resolution) and Linguistic (professional multilingual communication). Each competency is assessed through validated psychometric instruments across five proficiency levels mapped to EQF 1–8.

Universities and business schools use EASEC to certify student and graduate competencies, accredit programmes and issue Europass digital credentials. Secondary schools use EASEC's IKIGAI-E instrument for vocational guidance and student profiling. HR departments and corporate organisations use EASEC for talent assessment, structured development plans and workforce certification. In all cases, the goal is the same: to generate externally validated, internationally comparable evidence of competency that goes beyond self-reported CVs or internal assessments.

EASEC competencies and results are aligned with ESCO v1.2.1 (European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations), the European Qualifications Framework (EQF levels 1–8), WEF Future of Jobs 2025 and the Tuning methodology — developed across 135 universities in 27 countries. Operationally, EASEC works within ISO 9001 and ISO 27001:2022 frameworks and issues eIDAS-compliant digital credentials via Europass EDC and Open Badge 3.0 infrastructure — ensuring that every credential is technically portable, legally valid and institutionally recognisable across the European Higher Education Area and beyond.

Every EASEC certification generates a unique digital credential accessible at cert.easec.eu/verify. Any employer, admissions office or accreditation body can enter the credential ID and instantly access the holder's name, competency profile, EQF level, assessment date and issuing institution — without creating an account or contacting EASEC directly. Credentials are also issued as Europass-compatible digital certificates and Open Badge 3.0 — making them shareable on LinkedIn, embedded in CVs and importable into Europass profiles.

EASEC was founded in 2010 in the United Kingdom as an independent certification body. In 2025, operational headquarters moved to Valencia, Spain — placing EASEC at the heart of the European Higher Education Area and strengthening its access to the Spanish and Latin American markets. Today EASEC operates through a network of Certified Academic Partners, Authorised Training Centres and implementation partners across 55+ countries in Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific, with the full assessment and credentialing infrastructure available in 7 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian and Catalan.

The process begins with a structured demo tailored to your institution's profile — higher education, school or corporate. During the demo, EASEC's team maps the framework to your specific context: which competencies are relevant, how the assessment integrates with existing programmes, what the credentialing and reporting workflow looks like and what the partnership model entails. There is no generic sales pitch — the conversation is built around your institution's actual needs. You can request a demo at easec.eu/contact.
