Terms and Conditions

EASEC·EU
Terms and Conditions Last updated: August 2026 · These Terms apply globally to all EASEC services and platforms

1. Introduction and Acceptance

These General Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of all services, platforms, and digital environments operated under the registered European trade mark EASEC — European Accreditation of Soft Skills & Employability Competencies by its owning entity INNZPIRA ANALYTICS S.L. (CIF: B19336213), C. de la Travesía, Poblados Marítimos, 46024 València, Valencia, Spain, and where applicable, its associated entity Innzpira LLC, 5900 Balcones Drive, Ste 4000, Austin, Texas 78731, USA. Throughout the remainder of these Terms, both entities are referred to collectively as "EASEC" unless a distinction between the two is expressly required.

By accessing any EASEC platform, registering for any EASEC service, purchasing any EASEC product (directly or through an institution), or executing any agreement with EASEC, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Where a specific service agreement has been executed between EASEC and a client, that agreement takes precedence over these General Terms in the event of any conflict.

These Terms should be read together with EASEC's Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Legal Notice, and Acceptable Use Policy.

2. Services Offered

EASEC offers services across three verticals, four commercial service lines, and two purchasing channels.

2.1 Verticals

EASEC for Higher Education

  • Programme Accreditation — independent technical evaluation and accreditation of academic programmes against ESCO, EQF, WEF Future of Jobs, Tuning, UNESCO, and O*NET frameworks. Accreditation is granted where a programme demonstrates at least 80% alignment with the applicable frameworks. EASEC publishes the accreditation status on the institution's institutional profile.
  • Certification Centre — enabling universities to administer EASEC competency assessments and issue co-branded certifications to students and graduates.
  • Professional certifications — EASEC Higher Education professional certification programmes available to institutional staff and individual consumers (see section 2.3 below).

EASEC for Schools

  • EASEC Accredited School — institutional accreditation for secondary and baccalaureate schools implementing transversal competency development programmes.
  • School Certification Centre — enabling schools to administer EASEC competency assessments and issue certifications to students aged 15 to 18 and teaching staff.
  • Professional certifications — EASEC Schools professional certification programmes available to school professionals and individual consumers (see section 2.3 below).

EASEC for Work

Subscription includes a monthly base infrastructure fee plus variable credit consumption.
  • Employee competency certification — optional module enabling organisations to issue EASEC competency certifications to their employees.

2.2 Four Commercial Service Lines

EASEC's commercial offering is structured across four service lines that operate within and across the three verticals described above:

  • Programme Accreditation — independent evaluation and accreditation of academic and training programmes against international competency frameworks.
  • Diagnostic and Certification Assessments — Certification Centre — administration of EASEC's psychometric competency assessments and issuance of individual certifications through authorised institutional Certification Centres or directly to individual consumers.
  • Professional Profile Certifications — assessment-based certification of defined competency profiles relevant to specific occupational roles and domains (see section 2.3).
  • Talent Intelligence Platform — the EASEC for Work SaaS platform for consultancies, HR departments, and organisations, providing psychometric assessment, reporting, development planning, and project management tools.

2.3 Soft Skills Diagnostic and Certification Assessments

EASEC currently offers a catalogue of thirty-two (32) transversal competency assessments across intellectual, laboral, and social domains, including: Pensamiento Estratégico, Creatividad e Innovación, Resolución de Problemas, Toma de Decisiones, Gestión del Cambio, Adaptabilidad, Conocimiento Disciplinar, Planificación y Organización, Orientación al Logro, Orientación a la Excelencia, Mejora Continua, Ética e Integridad, Aprendizaje Continuo, Uso de Herramientas Digitales, Colaboración y Trabajo en Equipo, Influencia e Impacto, Gestión de Equipos, Liderazgo, Desarrollo de Personas, Comprensión Organizacional, Gestión de Relaciones, Negociación, Gestión de Conflictos, Comunicación Efectiva, Comunicación Escrita, Comunicación Oral, Diversidad e Inclusión, Gestión del Riesgo, Asertividad, Resiliencia, Inteligencia Emocional, and Ciudadanía Digital.

EASEC reserves the right to expand, update, or restructure the competency catalogue at any time by incorporating new assessment instruments into the framework. Any new competency assessment incorporated into the catalogue shall be subject to the same psychometric validation standards and quality assurance procedures applicable to the existing catalogue. The addition of new competencies does not require amendment of these Terms.

These assessments incorporate the EASEC AI Engine situational assessment dimension as a complementary qualitative layer (see Section 4A below).

2.4 Professional Certification Programmes

EASEC offers ten (10) professional certification programmes assessing defined competency profiles relevant to specific occupational roles and domains:

Professional certifications are assessed against multiple international frameworks including ESCO, EQF, Tuning, WEF Future of Jobs, UNESCO, O*NET, and domain-specific standards. All ten certifications incorporate the EASEC AI Engine situational assessment dimension.

2.5 Framework Alignment and Credential Metadata

EASEC assessment and credentialling processes are aligned with and mapped to the following international competency and qualifications frameworks: ESCO (European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations), EQF (European Qualifications Framework), Tuning, WEF Future of Jobs, UNESCO, and O*NET. Framework alignment metadata is embedded in the assessment analytics pipeline and encoded within credentials issued in Europass European Digital Credential (EDC) and Open Badge 3.0 formats.

2.6 Purchasing Channels

All EASEC assessment and certification products are available through two purchasing channels:

  • B2B Institutional — institutions, employers, and organisations purchase credits under a service or institutional agreement at volume-based preferential pricing. Credits are activated upon payment and credited to the institution's EASEC account.
  • B2C Direct — individuals may purchase assessments and certifications directly through www.easec.eu at published list prices. The same certification standards, quality assurance procedures, and credential validity terms apply to both channels.

2.7 EASEC Authorised Partner Network

EASEC operates an Authorised Partner Network comprising three categories of partner: Authorised Representatives, Authorised Resellers, and Authorised Referral Partners. Authorised Partners promote, distribute, or facilitate access to EASEC services within their territory or sector. The rights, obligations, commission structures, and exclusivity terms applicable to each partner category are governed by the applicable EASEC Partner Agreement executed between EASEC and the partner. These Terms apply to all EASEC services delivered through Authorised Partners.

2.8 Skills-First Employer Network

EASEC operates the Skills-First Employer Network (skillsfirst.easec.eu), an initiative enabling employers to signal their commitment to skills-based hiring and talent development. Participation in the Skills-First Employer Network is subject to its own specific terms and conditions, published at skillsfirst.easec.eu.

3. Access and Registration

3.1 Eligibility

B2B access to EASEC services is available to legal entities (institutions, organisations, companies). B2C direct purchase is available to individuals aged 18 or over. Access for individuals aged 15 to 17 is available exclusively through an authorised EASEC institution acting under its duty of care and in compliance with applicable national law on the protection of minors.

3.2 Account Registration

Certain EASEC services require the creation of an account. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their access credentials and for all activities carried out under their account. EASEC must be notified immediately at support@easec.eu of any unauthorised use of an account or security breach.

3.3 Personal EASEC Wallet

Upon completing their first EASEC assessment — through an institution, an employer, or a direct B2C purchase — each individual is automatically assigned a personal EASEC Wallet account at cert.easec.eu at no additional cost. The Wallet is permanent, belongs exclusively to the individual, and cannot be restricted or closed by any institution, employer, or partner.

3.4 Accuracy of Information

Users and institutions warrant that all information provided during registration and throughout the service relationship is accurate, complete, and up to date.

4. Certification and Accreditation Terms

4.1 Nature of EASEC Certifications

EASEC competency certifications reflect an individual's demonstrated level of a given competency at the time of assessment, as determined by EASEC's validated psychometric methodology. Certifications are not academic qualifications, professional licences, or regulatory authorisations. They do not guarantee employment or professional outcomes.

4.2 Certification Decisions

Certification decisions are made through EASEC's automated scoring system applied consistently to all assessments. EASEC is the sole and exclusive authority determining whether a certification is issued. Institutions and employers have no authority to alter, override, or instruct EASEC on certification decisions for individual candidates.

4.3 Certification Validity

Each issued certification carries a stated validity of three (3) years from the date of issuance. After this period, the credential record remains permanently in EASEC's registry but is marked as expired. The credential is verifiable at all times, including after expiry, through the official verification portal at https://cert.easec.eu/certificates/verify.

4.4 Re-Assessment

Individuals whose certification has expired, or who wish to demonstrate an improved proficiency level, may undertake a new assessment under the same conditions as the original.

4.5 Programme Accreditation

Programme Accreditation is granted where an institution's academic or training programme demonstrates at least 80% alignment with the applicable international competency frameworks (ESCO, EQF, Tuning, WEF Future of Jobs, UNESCO, and O*NET), as evaluated by EASEC's independent technical assessment. Accreditation is granted for the duration specified in the applicable agreement, subject to ongoing compliance. Accreditation is not transferable. EASEC publishes the accreditation status and programme details on the institution's EASEC institutional profile page.

4.6 Digital Credentials and Blockchain Anchoring

EASEC issues credentials in the following formats: co-branded digital diploma (PDF), verifiable digital credential (LinkedIn-shareable), Open Badge 3.0, and Europass European Digital Credential (EDC). Credential metadata includes framework alignment data mapped to ESCO, EQF, Tuning, WEF Future of Jobs, UNESCO, and O*NET as applicable.

EASEC is developing an additional blockchain anchoring layer based on Polygon Soulbound Tokens (SBT), which will anchor the credential hash to a public blockchain for additional immutability and third-party verifiability. Where this feature is activated, full terms will be published and incorporated into this section. Blockchain anchoring does not alter the legal standing of the EASEC-issued credential.

4.7 Appeals and Complaints — ISO/IEC 17024

EASEC maintains a formal appeals and complaints procedure aligned with ISO/IEC 17024 requirements (Policy P-APR-01). Any individual who has undergone an EASEC assessment may submit an appeal regarding their certification decision or a complaint regarding any aspect of the assessment process. Appeals and complaints shall be submitted in writing to info@easec.eu. EASEC will acknowledge receipt within five (5) working days and issue a reasoned decision within thirty (30) working days of receipt of a complete submission. The appeals and complaints procedure is independent of the assessment and certification decision process. Full details of the procedure are available upon request.

4A. EASEC AI Engine — Situational Assessment Dimension

All EASEC diagnostic and certification assessment instruments across the soft skills catalogue and the ten professional certification programmes incorporate the EASEC AI Engine as a complementary qualitative dimension, appended to the standard psychometric assessment.

4A.1 Nature and Scope

The EASEC AI Engine presents the participant with a situational scenario generated by an AI language model, calibrated to their assessed competency, segment, age range, and cultural context. The participant's free-text response is analysed by the AI Engine to produce an interpretive reading comprising identified strengths, development opportunities, suggested performance contexts, and recommended next steps.

Critical — Independence of AI Engine from Certified Score The AI Engine output is strictly interpretive and developmental. It does not constitute, influence, or modify the participant's certified competency score. The certification decision is made exclusively by the validated psychometric instrument and automated scoring model. The AI Engine analysis is not communicated to any institution or employer. It is accessible only to the individual participant through their personal EASEC Wallet.

4A.2 Participant Acknowledgements

By initiating the AI Engine dimension within an EASEC assessment, the participant acknowledges and confirms that:

  • (a) The situational scenario has been generated by an artificial intelligence system (the EASEC AI Engine);
  • (b) Their open-text response will be processed by an AI system to produce an interpretive analysis;
  • (c) This analysis is interpretive and does not form part of their certified assessment score;
  • (d) The AI Engine dimension operates with full methodological independence from the psychometric score;
  • (e) They may request review of the interpretive analysis by a qualified EASEC evaluator at any time by contacting info@easec.eu;
  • (f) The processing of their open-text response is governed by EASEC's Privacy Policy and complies with Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (EU AI Act), including the transparency obligations set out in Article 50 and, where applicable, the risk classification and conformity requirements relevant to AI systems used in educational and employment contexts.

4A.3 Prohibited Conduct During AI Engine Dimension

The following conduct during the AI Engine situational assessment dimension is strictly prohibited and constitutes a breach of the EASEC Assessment Integrity Framework (AIF) and the Acceptable Use Policy:

  • Use of AI assistance tools, automated response generators, language models, or any third-party content generation technology to produce or augment the open-text response
  • Copying responses from external sources, other individuals, or previously seen scenarios
  • Consulting others (in person, remotely, or electronically) during the response period

Breach of these requirements invalidates the AI Engine output and may, in cases of systematic misuse, affect the validity of the certified assessment at EASEC's discretion.

4A.4 Human Review Protocol

Participants have the right to request review of the AI Engine interpretive analysis by a qualified EASEC evaluator. This right is presented to participants at the conclusion of the AI Engine dimension and may be exercised at any time by contacting info@easec.eu. EASEC will acknowledge review requests within five (5) working days.

5. Assessment Integrity Framework (AIF)

EASEC maintains a comprehensive Assessment Integrity Framework (AIF) applicable to all EASEC assessments — including diagnostic assessments, certification assessments, professional profile certifications, and the AI Engine situational dimension. The AIF sets out the standards, protocols, and enforcement mechanisms designed to ensure the authenticity, fairness, and reliability of all EASEC assessment processes.

All users, institutions, and partners administering or undertaking EASEC assessments are bound by the AIF. The following conduct is prohibited across all EASEC assessments:

  • Completion of an assessment by any person other than the registered individual (proxy completion)
  • Use of AI assistance tools, automated response generators, language models, or any third-party content generation technology during an assessment
  • Copying, distributing, or reproducing assessment content in any form
  • Collusion, communication with third parties, or consultation of unauthorised materials during an assessment
  • Any form of impersonation or identity misrepresentation

Breach of the AIF may result in invalidation of the assessment, revocation of any associated credential, suspension or termination of institutional access, and reporting to the relevant institution or employer where appropriate. EASEC reserves the right to apply technology-based integrity monitoring measures to detect and prevent breaches of the AIF.

6. Credits, Fees, Payment, and Validity

6.1 Credit System — Institutional (B2B)

Institutional clients access EASEC assessment and certification services through a credit-based system. Credits are activated in the institution's EASEC account upon payment and credited immediately.

Institutional Credit Validity

Institutional credits are valid for twenty-four (24) months from the date of activation (i.e., the date on which the credits are credited to the institution's EASEC account following payment). Credits not used within this period expire and are non-refundable. The expiry of unused credits does not affect the validity of any credential already issued using those credits — all issued credentials remain permanently recorded, verifiable, and accessible in the individual's EASEC Wallet.

6.2 B2C Direct Purchases

Individual consumers purchasing assessments or certifications directly through www.easec.eu activate their credit immediately upon purchase. The twenty-four (24) month validity period applies from the date of direct purchase. All other credit validity terms described in section 6.1 apply equally to B2C purchases.

EU consumer protection rights apply to B2C purchases by individuals resident in the European Union, including rights under Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights Directive). By activating and beginning an assessment, the consumer acknowledges that the digital service has been partially performed and agrees that the right of withdrawal may be extinguished in accordance with Article 16(a) of that Directive. Consumers who have not yet initiated an assessment may withdraw within 14 calendar days of purchase.

6.3 EASEC for Work Platform — Subscription and Credits

The EASEC for Work platform (work.easec.eu) operates under a monthly subscription model comprising a base fee for platform infrastructure and access, plus variable credit consumption for psychometric assessments, reports, and advanced features. EASEC for Work platform credits (distinct from certification credits) do not expire. Certification credits used within the EASEC for Work platform are subject to the twenty-four (24) month validity period from activation.

6.4 Fees and Payment

Fees are as set out in the applicable service agreement or published pricing. All fees are stated exclusive of VAT or applicable local taxes unless otherwise specified. Payment terms are specified in the applicable service agreement. Where no specific agreement exists, payment is due within thirty (30) calendar days of the invoice date.

6.5 Billing Entities

  • EUR-denominated services are invoiced by INNZPIRA ANALYTICS S.L. under the EASEC trade mark.
  • USD-denominated EASEC for Work services are charged by Innzpira LLC.

6.6 Refunds

Fees paid for services already delivered or initiated are generally non-refundable. Specific refund conditions are set out in the relevant service agreement. B2C consumers who have not yet initiated an assessment may request a refund within fourteen (14) calendar days of purchase at info@easec.eu.

7. Intellectual Property

All EASEC content, platforms, certification methodologies, assessment instruments, competency frameworks (including the transversal competency catalogue, the professional certification frameworks, and any future expansions), the Assessment Integrity Framework (AIF), AI Engine architecture and outputs, credential formats, brand elements, and associated intellectual property are the exclusive property of INNZPIRA ANALYTICS S.L. (operating under the EASEC trade mark) or its licensors.

Nothing in these Terms or in any EASEC service agreement transfers any intellectual property ownership to users, institutions, or clients. Users and clients are granted only the limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licences expressly set out in their applicable service agreement or, in the absence of such agreement, the limited right to use EASEC services for their intended purpose during the service period.

8. Brand Use

Use of EASEC brand elements — including names, logos, seals, certification designations, professional certification titles, and the EASEC AI Engine designation — is permitted only where expressly authorised under a signed agreement with EASEC and strictly in accordance with the EASEC Brand Guidelines Manual. Unauthorised use may result in immediate termination of any applicable agreement and legal action.

9. Obligations of Users and Clients

Users and clients of EASEC services shall:

  • Use EASEC services exclusively for their intended lawful purpose.
  • Provide accurate and complete information at all times.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of platform access credentials.
  • Comply with the EASEC Assessment Integrity Framework (AIF) — assessments must be completed by the assigned individual without external assistance, AI tools, or any form of proxy completion.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in their jurisdiction, including data protection law.
  • Obtain all necessary consents from individuals before enrolling them in EASEC assessments, including parental or guardian consent for minors where required by applicable law.
  • Not use AI assistance, automated response tools, or content generation systems during any EASEC assessment.
  • Use EASEC brand elements strictly in accordance with the EASEC Brand Guidelines Manual.
  • Notify EASEC promptly of any security incident, suspected misuse, or breach affecting EASEC services or credentials.

10. Liability

10.1 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EASEC's liability arising from or in connection with any EASEC service shall be limited to direct damages and shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months preceding it.

10.2 Exclusion of Indirect Damages

EASEC shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of business, or reputational harm, arising from the use of or inability to use EASEC services.

10.3 AI Engine — Limitation of Liability

The EASEC AI Engine produces interpretive, qualitative outputs that are developmental and informational in nature. EASEC makes no representation that the AI Engine output is complete, accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose beyond the developmental context in which it is provided. EASEC shall not be liable for any decisions made by individuals, institutions, or employers on the basis of AI Engine outputs. Institutions and employers must not use AI Engine outputs as a basis for employment decisions, academic decisions, or any consequential determination affecting an individual.

10.4 No Guarantee of Outcomes

EASEC does not guarantee any specific professional, educational, or employment outcome for individuals assessed or certified through its services.

10.5 Client Indemnification

Clients and users shall indemnify and hold harmless EASEC from any claim, liability, loss, or expense arising from: (a) breach of these Terms or the Assessment Integrity Framework; (b) misuse of EASEC services, platforms, or brand; (c) non-compliance with applicable data protection or employment law; or (d) any claim by a third party arising from the client's use of EASEC services.

11. Suspension and Termination

EASEC may suspend access to any service or platform immediately, without notice, where it reasonably suspects: a breach of these Terms, the Assessment Integrity Framework, or any applicable agreement; misuse of EASEC credentials, brand, or platform; a security incident; or non-payment. Either party may terminate a service relationship in accordance with the terms set out in the applicable service agreement. Where no specific agreement governs the relationship, EASEC may terminate access with thirty (30) days' written notice. Termination does not affect the validity of EASEC credentials already issued to individuals.

12. Data Protection

The processing of personal data in connection with EASEC services — including data generated by the EASEC AI Engine situational assessment dimension — is governed by EASEC's Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. Where a specific data processing agreement has been executed between EASEC and a client, that agreement governs the parties' data protection obligations.

Clients are solely responsible for ensuring that they have an appropriate legal basis to share personal data of individuals with EASEC, and for obtaining any required consents, particularly in relation to minors. Institutions administering AI Engine assessments to participants are responsible for ensuring that appropriate consents covering AI-assisted processing have been obtained, and for informing participants of the AI transparency disclosures that EASEC delivers within the assessment interface.

13. EASEC International Cooperation Programme

EASEC operates an International Cooperation Programme offering funding, technical assistance, and capacity-building support to institutions in eligible countries. Participation in the International Cooperation Programme is subject to the execution of a specific cooperation agreement or memorandum of understanding between EASEC and the participating institution, which shall set out the scope, funding terms, obligations, reporting requirements, and duration applicable to the cooperation. These General Terms and Conditions apply to all EASEC services delivered under the International Cooperation Programme unless expressly modified by the applicable cooperation agreement.

14. EU AI Act Compliance

EASEC is committed to compliance with Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the EU AI Act). The EASEC AI Engine, as deployed within the situational assessment dimension, is designed and operated in accordance with the transparency obligations set out in Article 50 of the EU AI Act, including clear disclosure to participants that they are interacting with an AI-generated scenario and that their responses are processed by an AI system.

Where any EASEC AI system is classified under a risk category requiring conformity assessment, registration, or additional technical documentation under the EU AI Act, EASEC shall implement the applicable requirements and maintain the corresponding records. EASEC monitors regulatory developments under the EU AI Act and will update its compliance measures as implementing provisions and standards are adopted.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Consumer Rights Where users are consumers under applicable mandatory consumer protection law (including EU Directive 2011/83/EU or applicable national equivalents), nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights afforded to them under legislation in their country of residence, including the right to bring proceedings before competent courts in their own jurisdiction.

16. Force Majeure

Neither EASEC nor any client shall be liable for failure or delay in performance of obligations due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, cyberattacks, government actions, telecommunications failures, AI service provider outages, or significant disruptions to cloud infrastructure. The affected party shall notify the other without undue delay and shall use reasonable efforts to resume performance as soon as practicable.

17. Modifications to These Terms

EASEC reserves the right to update these General Terms and Conditions at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where applicable, by direct notification to registered users or institutional contacts. Continued use of EASEC services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

18. Miscellaneous

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with any applicable service agreement, data processing agreement, cooperation agreement, partner agreement, and the EASEC Brand Guidelines Manual, constitute the entire agreement between EASEC and the user or client in respect of the use of EASEC services.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Waiver: Failure by EASEC to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce that provision in the future.

Assignment: Users and clients may not assign or transfer any rights or obligations under these Terms without EASEC's prior written consent. EASEC may assign its rights and obligations to a successor entity without requiring client consent, provided that the successor assumes all obligations under any existing service agreements.

Language: The official version of these Terms is in English. Translations provided for convenience do not have legal force; in the event of any discrepancy, the English version prevails.
