EASEC·EU
Skills-First Employer Initiative
Terms & Conditions of Adhesion Effective date: 4 September 2026
Administered at skillsfirst.easec.eu

These Terms and Conditions of Adhesion (hereinafter, the "Terms") govern the participation of any legal entity (hereinafter, the "Employer" or "You") in the Skills-First Employer initiative (hereinafter, the "Initiative"), an employer-facing movement verified and administered by INNZPIRA ANALYTICS, S.L., trading as EASEC — European Accreditation of Soft Skills & Employability Competencies (hereinafter, "EASEC"), a company incorporated under the laws of Spain, with registered office in Valencia, Spain.

By completing the registration process and accepting these Terms, the Employer agrees to be bound by all provisions set forth herein.

1. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms, the following definitions shall apply:

"Charter" / "Skills-First Charter"
The declaration of principles set forth in Section 3, to which the Employer adheres upon registration.
"Seal"
The Skills-First Employer graphic mark and associated visual identity kit provided by EASEC, bearing the designation "Verified by EASEC".
"Directory"
The public registry of Skills-First Employers accessible at skillsfirst.easec.eu and related subpages.
"Signatory" Status

"Verified Employer" Status
An Employer whose Seal has been detected and confirmed on the Employer's own corporate website domain.
"Authorised Representative"
The natural person who completes and signs the registration on behalf of the Employer.
"EASEC Platform" / "Platform"
The EASEC Platform for Work, accessible at work.easec.eu, through which competency assessments are delivered.
"Credits"

"Verification Window"
The thirty (30) calendar-day period following registration during which the Employer is expected to publish the Seal on its corporate domain.

2. Nature of the Initiative

2.1. The Skills-First Employer initiative is a voluntary movement of employers who publicly commit to hiring and developing talent based on demonstrated competencies, aligned with the international competency frameworks referenced by EASEC (EQF, ESCO, Tuning, World Economic Forum, and UNESCO).

2.2. The Initiative is part of EASEC's broader international cooperation efforts, aligned with the European Union's Future for Skills agenda. The Initiative is created and administered solely by EASEC and does not represent an official programme of the European Union or any of its institutions.

Important Clarification Adhesion to the Initiative does not constitute a certification, audit, or endorsement by EASEC of the Employer's internal human resources processes, hiring decisions, or organisational practices. The Seal signifies exclusively that the Employer has voluntarily adhered to the Charter principles and has been verified through the process described in these Terms. EASEC does not audit, monitor, or evaluate the Employer's compliance with its own hiring or development practices.

2.4. The Initiative does not create an employment, commercial agency, franchise, joint venture, or partnership relationship between EASEC and the Employer.

3. The Skills-First Charter

By adhering to the Initiative, the Employer subscribes to the following principles:

Skills-First Charter
Declaration of principles — verified by EASEC
  1. Competency comes first. We place demonstrated competencies above the prestige of a degree or the origin of a career path.
  2. We decide by evidence. We base selection and development decisions on verifiable competencies, not on assertions alone. We recognise EASEC competency credentials as valid evidence.
  3. We widen the field. We give serious consideration to talent arriving through less conventional paths, because talent does not always follow the expected route. Where the competency is present, the opportunity follows.
  4. We measure to grow. We assess competencies not only to select better, but to develop our people with a clear map of where to advance.
  5. We play with open cards. We are transparent about which competencies we value and how we assess them.
Scope of the Charter The Charter principles represent a voluntary commitment to a method and approach to talent management. They are not a guarantee of outcomes, nor do they create enforceable obligations towards third parties beyond what is stated in these Terms.

4. Registration and Verification

4.1. Eligibility

The Initiative is open to any legally constituted entity, regardless of size, sector, or jurisdiction, that operates with a corporate email domain and a publicly accessible website.

4.2. Authorised Representative

The registration must be completed by a natural person who represents and warrants that they hold sufficient authority to bind the Employer to these Terms and to the Charter. By completing the registration, the Authorised Representative personally declares, under their full responsibility, that such authority exists.

Personal Liability If the Authorised Representative's declaration of authority proves false, that person shall be solely and personally liable for any damages arising from the unauthorised adhesion. EASEC reserves the right to void the registration and pursue any remedies available under applicable law.

4.3. Registration Process

The registration process consists of the following steps:

  • Completion of the online registration form with the Employer's legal name, country, sector, size, and the Authorised Representative's name, title, and corporate email address.
  • Electronic acceptance of these Terms and of the Charter.
  • Validation of the corporate email address through a double opt-in mechanism. Generic email domains (such as gmail.com, hotmail.com, yahoo.com, outlook.com, and similar) are not accepted.
  • Upon successful email validation, the Employer receives the Brand Kit (defined in Section 5) and its registration is recorded in the Directory as Signatory.

4.4. Verification

To attain Verified Employer status, the Employer must publish the Seal on its own corporate website domain, linked to its profile in the Directory. The publication of the Seal on the Employer's domain constitutes the definitive proof of identity and commitment, as only a person with administrative access to the Employer's website can complete this action.

EASEC may detect the published Seal automatically (when the embeddable snippet is used) or manually (when the Employer submits the URL through the designated form). Both methods are equally valid for verification purposes.

4.5. Verification Window and Follow-Up

The Employer has thirty (30) calendar days from the date of registration to publish the Seal on its corporate domain. During this period, EASEC will send up to three (3) automated reminders encouraging completion.

If the Seal is not published within 30 days The registration shall not be invalidated; however, the Employer's profile will be moved to a non-public status (Adhesion Registered — Pending Publication) and will not appear in the public Directory. The signed agreement remains on file, and the Employer may complete verification at any time by publishing the Seal and notifying EASEC.

5. Brand Kit and Use of the Seal

5.1. Brand Kit

Upon successful email validation, EASEC shall deliver to the Employer a digital Brand Kit containing:

  • The Seal in multiple formats (SVG, PNG) and versions (colour, monochrome, horizontal, square), bearing the year of adhesion.
  • An embeddable HTML snippet that displays the Seal and links to the Employer's Directory profile.
  • A Brand Usage Guide specifying permitted and prohibited uses, minimum sizes, colour specifications, and clear-space requirements.
  • An optional kit for job postings, including a smaller badge and suggested copy.
  • A Certificate of Adhesion in PDF format, bearing the Employer's name, date of signature, and a unique reference number.

5.2. Permitted Uses

The Employer is encouraged to use the Seal broadly, including but not limited to: corporate website, career pages, job postings, email signatures, social media profiles, printed materials, and internal communications. All uses must comply with the Brand Usage Guide.

5.3. Prohibited Uses

The Employer shall not:

  • Alter, distort, recolour, or modify the Seal in any way not expressly permitted by the Brand Usage Guide.
  • Use the Seal to imply that EASEC has certified, audited, or endorsed the Employer's internal processes, products, or services beyond the scope of the Initiative.
  • Sublicense, transfer, or allow third parties to use the Seal.
  • Use the Seal in connection with any activity that is illegal, discriminatory, misleading, or that could damage the reputation of EASEC, the Initiative, or other participating Employers.

6. EASEC Platform for Work

6.1. As a benefit of adhesion, the Employer shall receive complimentary access to the EASEC Platform for Work (work.easec.eu), consisting of:

Complimentary Access
2 weeks
Starting from account activation date
Complimentary Credits
50 credits
Equivalent to USD $50 in assessments
Available Languages
EN · ES · PT
English, Spanish, and Portuguese
One-Time Benefit The complimentary access described above is a one-time benefit per Employer. Beyond the complimentary period and credits, continued use of the Platform requires the Employer to select a paid monthly subscription plan and purchase additional Credits, in accordance with the Platform's own terms of service.

6.3. Use of the EASEC Platform is entirely optional. The Employer may participate in the Initiative and maintain its Verified Employer status without ever activating or using the Platform. The adhesion to the Initiative and the use of the Platform are independent engagements governed by separate terms.

6.4. The terms of service, privacy policy, and data processing conditions applicable to the EASEC Platform for Work are those published at work.easec.eu and accepted by each user upon account creation. These Terms do not govern the Platform relationship.

7. Public Directory

7.1. By joining the Initiative, the Employer consents to the publication of the following information in the Directory: legal name, country, sector, company size range, date of adhesion, verification status, and a link to the Employer's website where the Seal is published.

7.2. The Directory displays two visibility tiers:

  • Verified Employers appear in the main, highlighted section of the Directory with a link to their corporate website.
  • Signatories (pending verification) appear in a secondary, non-highlighted listing.

7.3. Employers whose verification has lapsed or who have not published the Seal within the Verification Window are moved to a non-public status and do not appear in the Directory until verification is completed or restored.

8. Data Protection

8.1. EASEC processes the personal data of the Authorised Representative (name, title, corporate email address, IP address, and timestamp of signature) for the purpose of administering the Initiative, maintaining the Directory, and communicating with the Employer. The legal basis for this processing is the performance of the contractual relationship established by these Terms (Article 6.1.b GDPR) and EASEC's legitimate interest in maintaining the integrity of the Initiative (Article 6.1.f GDPR).

8.2. If the Employer chooses to use the EASEC Platform for Work, the data processing conditions applicable to assessment data (including data of the Employer's personnel) shall be governed exclusively by the terms of service and privacy policy of the Platform, accepted separately upon account creation. Within the Platform, each individual participant accepts the applicable terms and conditions before each assessment.

8.3. EASEC may use anonymised and aggregated data derived from the Platform for research, benchmarking, sectoral studies, product improvement, and publication purposes. No individually identifiable data shall be disclosed without the explicit consent of the data subject.

8.4. The Employer is solely responsible for how it uses any assessment results, reports, or data obtained through the EASEC Platform in relation to its own personnel. EASEC acts as a technology provider and does not make employment decisions on behalf of the Employer.

Exercise of Data Subject Rights The data subject rights established under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 — including access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, and objection — may be exercised by contacting EASEC at the address indicated in Section 15.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1. The Seal, the name "Skills-First Employer", the Brand Kit, the Charter text, and all associated graphic elements, trademarks, and content are and remain the exclusive intellectual property of INNZPIRA ANALYTICS, S.L. (EASEC).

9.2. These Terms grant the Employer a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Seal and Brand Kit solely for the purposes and in the manner described herein. This licence is valid for the duration of the Employer's active and verified participation in the Initiative and terminates automatically upon withdrawal, revocation, or expiry.

9.3. The Employer retains all rights to its own name, logo, and trademarks. The Employer grants EASEC a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display the Employer's name, logo, country, and sector in the Directory and in EASEC's communications related to the Initiative for the duration of the adhesion.

10. Duration, Renewal, and Withdrawal

10.1. Duration

The adhesion is valid for one (1) year from the date of registration. The Seal bears the year of adhesion as a visible element.

10.2. Renewal

Prior to the expiry of each annual period, EASEC shall notify the Employer by email. Renewal requires the Employer to reconfirm its adhesion and update the Seal to reflect the new year. If the Employer does not renew within the notified period, the Seal expires, the Employer's profile is moved to non-public status in the Directory, and the Employer must cease using the Seal.

10.3. Voluntary Withdrawal

The Employer may withdraw from the Initiative at any time, without penalty, by sending a formal written notice to EASEC by email to the address specified in Section 15. Upon withdrawal:

  • The Employer shall remove the Seal from all channels — including its website, social media, job postings, email signatures, and printed materials — within ten (10) calendar days of the withdrawal notice.
  • The Employer's profile shall be removed from the public Directory.
  • The licence to use the Seal and Brand Kit terminates immediately.
  • Any unused complimentary Credits on the EASEC Platform shall expire and are not refundable or transferable.

11. Suspension and Revocation by EASEC

11.1. EASEC reserves the right to unilaterally suspend or revoke an Employer's participation in the Initiative, with immediate effect, in any of the following circumstances:

  • The Employer uses the Seal in violation of the Brand Usage Guide or these Terms.
  • The Employer's actions, public statements, or conduct bring — or are reasonably likely to bring — the reputation of EASEC, the Initiative, or other participating Employers into disrepute.
  • There is public evidence of conduct by the Employer that is manifestly contrary to the Charter principles, including but not limited to discriminatory hiring practices.
  • The Authorised Representative's declaration of authority proves false.
  • The Employer becomes insolvent, enters liquidation, or ceases operations.

11.2. In the event of revocation, the Employer must remove the Seal from all channels within ten (10) calendar days of notification. The obligations established in Sections 5.3 and 9 shall survive revocation.

11.3. EASEC further reserves the right to pursue any legal actions available under applicable law to protect its reputation, intellectual property, and legitimate interests if the Employer's conduct causes or threatens to cause damage to EASEC.

12. Fees

Current Fee Structure As of the effective date of these Terms, adhesion to the Initiative is free of charge. The complimentary benefits described in Section 6.1 are included at no cost.

12.2. EASEC reserves the right to introduce fees or modify the complimentary benefits for future adhesions or renewals, subject to prior notice of no less than seven (7) calendar days sent to the Employer's registered email address. Any fee change shall take effect only upon the next renewal cycle and shall not apply retroactively to the current adhesion period.

13. Limitation of Liability

13.1. EASEC provides the Initiative, the Seal, and the complimentary Platform access on an "as-is" basis. EASEC makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the suitability of the Initiative for any particular purpose, the uninterrupted availability of the Directory or Platform, or the commercial results the Employer may obtain from participation.

13.2. EASEC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or in connection with the Employer's participation in the Initiative, including but not limited to: loss of profit, loss of data, reputational harm, or claims by third parties (including the Employer's employees, candidates, or clients) related to the Employer's hiring or talent management practices.

13.3. The Employer acknowledges that the Seal does not constitute a certification of its human resources practices and that EASEC bears no responsibility for the Employer's compliance with labour laws, anti-discrimination regulations, or any other legal obligations in its jurisdiction.

Indemnification The Employer shall indemnify and hold harmless EASEC, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from the Employer's misuse of the Seal, breach of these Terms, or misrepresentation by the Authorised Representative.

14. Amendments to These Terms

14.1. EASEC may amend these Terms, the Charter, or the Brand Usage Guide at any time. Any material amendment shall be notified to the Employer by email at least seven (7) calendar days before it takes effect.

14.2. If the Employer does not agree with the amendments, it may withdraw from the Initiative in accordance with Section 10.3 before the amendments take effect. Continued participation after the effective date of the amendments constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

15.1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain.

15.2. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Valencia, Spain, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
